Open pit protection – Hotel Navis, Opatija
Hotel Navis is located in the coastal zone of Preluk cove in Opatija with an area of 800 m2. To ensure the stability during the construction and exploitation phase it was neccecary to secure an open pit with a maximum depth of 20,50 m. A main design was made on the basis of conducted geotechnical exploration and investigation. Provided measures included installation of rod anchors, self-drilling rod anchors, reinforced shotcrete, drains and reinforced fillings with shotcrete. Measurements and observations of provided measures were conducted during the construction and exploitation phase.
