Geotechnical exploration and investigation works – Damjanić Winery
The Damjanić Winery is located on the county road from Poreč to Sveti Lovreč, near of the Poreč city. The wine cellar with auxiliary and supporting facilities are planned to be built. The facility as a dual building interconnected by underground communication dilated on each side is planned. As part of the construction, the foundation execution 39.06 m above sea level is foreseen, and cuts to the existing terrain up to a maximum depth of approximately 4.50 m in the northeast part of the project are planned.
Geotechnical and engineering-geological exploratory works were carried out for geotechnical report purpose:
- Probe pits excavation
- Engineering-geological mapping of the terrain and determination of the probe pits
- Examination of previous investigated works
Based on conducted geotechnical exploration and investigation works we have made a geotechnical report which was the geotechnical basis for main construction design.
For the geotechnical report purpose, five (5) probe pits with individual depths from 1,80 m to a maximum of 4,00 m were conducted. The probe pits were used to determine the geotechnical features of the location and soil foundation.
