Foundation and foundation soil improvement – Railway M201, K-K-DG section
A main and detailed design was made for the M201 railway, between junctions Dugo Selo – Križevci – Koprivnica – state border Hungary/Croatia, for the needs of a future Trans European railroad traffic corridor. The section of the forementioned railway is 42,60 km long.
Designs included nine underpasses, eight overpasses, seven bridges, tri viaducts, two train stations, one gallery, an expansion of an existing and construction of a new embankment as well as preparation and remediation of a railway substructure. Designs defined technical conditions of realization and types of geotechnical structures on the basis of conducted immediate and time depended on settlements analysis, stability analysis of embankments and cuttings, foundation bearing calculations, analysis of open pit protection systems and of limit states due to buoyancy and allowed loads. Design solutions included the construction of drilled piles, sheet pile walls, retaining walls, stone columns, material replacement, installation of geotextiles, as well as geonets and geomembranes.
